The Gowanus

Named after the frighteningly polluted waterway visible from their recording "studio", The Gowanus is a band consisting of two of Brooklyn's top songwriters. Very modest gentlemen they are, too.

The Gowanus was formed in July of 2006, after months of informal drunken jamming, and similarly drunken arguments over whether Sunny Day Real Estate really was better than Social Distortion.

They are currently recording an 8-song EP, tentatively titled Over Troubled Water, and are presumed to be still drunk, somewhere.
